The Heartland Council of the Blind welcomes you to our website and invites you to come to our meetings.  Everyone is welcome, whether blind, visually impaired, or sighted.

The Heartland Council of the Blind (HCB) is a group of blind, visually impaired, and sighted people from the Central Oklahoma area who come together to socialize, discuss issues related to blindness and visual impairment and advocate for a better life for our community in Central Oklahoma.

The Council strives to improve the well-being of our members by serving as a representative of the national organization; elevating the social, economic and cultural levels; improving educational and rehabilitation facilities and opportunities; cooperating with the public and private institutions and organizations concerned with blind services; encouraging and assisting all blind or visually impaired persons to develop their abilities and conducting a public education program to promote greater understanding of blindness and the capabilities of blind people.
